To my faithful readers

This may come as a surprise to many of you, but I've just signed a contract with a publisher to get The Book of Drachma published. I mean really published, and available in your neighborhood bookstore, not to mention Amazon.com, where it will be available in print as well as e-book format. Now it will be going on sale as a three volume set, as some of you have been telling me that it should. The first volume will be coming out by Christmas. Now I don't expect to be on any bestseller lists, or to make a bunch of money on this deal, but let me tell you that this has been a whole lot of fun.
Now what does this mean to you bloggers out there?
Well, this means that I will be taking down a good portion of the blog, but not to worry, it won't be happening overnight. I figure you've got about another couple of months before I start this process.
In any event, I want to thank you all very, very much for your support of my project, and you should know that I love you all.

  1. Amazing, let me be the first to congratulate you!

I certainly intend to purchase copies of your novels when they come out, I can say I knew him when. Very impressive sir.

I'm sure you can't reveal too many details about the process but I'd be very interested to know what channels you went through to make your novel a reality.

  2. I'm a completely unfaithful reader, but I saw this news in my dashboard and I wants to say BIG CONGRATS! That will be very exciting to hold a print copy in your hot little hands. Way to go and best of luck with it! :-)

  3. OMG, Drachma, congratulations, that’s great news! I'm glad it all worked out so well for you, I'll be looking out for the copies in my local bookstores (will they be available in Belgium?), all best wishes.

  4. @Diego - you're right, though I can't say very much now. But it is interesting that I really didn't go through too many channels, other than blogging, which got this whole ball rerolling. My thanks to Michelle Ogle, who was absolutely instrumental in this effort. You might notice that she was my very first follower. It's impossible to thank her too much.

@Stories - I don't know if local bookstores in Belgium would carry the books, but, if you were to ask, I am certain that they could be ordered, and if the demand were high enough... In any event, the books will be available through Amazon.com, either as real copies or in e-book format.

And thanks everyone, I'll tell you that you all have been instrumental.
